We work directly with artisan families in the Andes, ensuring they set their own prices. This direct partnership bypasses middle-men, ensuring ‘Dignity Woven In’ for every crafter.  The artisan who makes this purse works in a small home workshop, assisted by his wife. Our sales of his goods is the primary source of income for his family (a preteen boy and adorable twin girls).

2. Is the floral design painted or embroidered?

The vibrant floral details on this bag are machine-embroidered on a tightly-woven cotton band added during the construction of the purse. This ensures the colors remain vivid and the texture adds a premium, tactile feel that won’t peel or fade like a screen print.
